Household support grant voucher

This form should only be completed by nominated or assigned professionals who have identified eligible households living within the Mansfield District Council area.

Form introduction

The objective of the Household Support Fund is to provide support to households who are in immediate need.

The scheme will focus support primarily to food and energy and essentials.

Eligibility Criteria: Pensioners

Eligible households are those that are in immediate need and fit in one of the following categories:

  • Attendance Allowance.
  • Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit).
  • Council tax Reduction
  • Housing benefit
  • Higher Rate Disability Living Allowance/PIP.
  • Known to domestic abuse services.
  • No recourse to public funds.
  • Experiencing considerable poverty.
  • Assessed by a professional as in urgent need for food or energy

Eligibility Criteria: Households without children

Eligible households are those that are in immediate need and fit in one of the following categories:

  • Where a member of the household is receiving one of the following:
    • Council Tax Reduction
    • Housing Benefit
    • Universal Credit that includes housing costs in the calculation
    • Income Support
    • Income based Job Seekers Allowance
    • Income based Employment Support Allowance
    • Working Tax Credits
  • Care leavers up to the age of 25.
  • Young people with an Education Healthcare Plan aged 19-24 who are eligible for Free School Meals.
  • Families, couples or single adults in any of the following groups:
    • Known to domestic abuse services.
    • No recourse to public funds.
    • Experiencing considerable in-work poverty.
    • Assessed by a professional as in urgent needfor food or energy

Eligibility Criteria: Low Income Households with children under 5, not eligible for funded childcare and not in receipt of Free School Meals

  • Low income households with children under 2 not attending child care settings
  • Low income households with a 2, 3, or 4 yr old not accessing childcare entitlements or early years pupil premium.
  • Known to domestic abuse services.
  • No recourse to public funds.
  • Assessed by a professional as in urgent need?for food or energy
