Fly-tipping

Instructions

Important!

We will visit the scene to establish the quantity of rubbish and if it is our responsibility, we will remove it. We will also look for evidence, with a view to prosecuting offenders.

  • We are responsible for clearing up fly-tipping on district council owned land and adopted highways.
  • We are not responsible for removing dumped rubbish from private land, such as gardens, farm land or driveways. This is the responsibility of the landowner.

In this form you will be asked to provide:

  • exact location
  • description of items (please do not touch fly-tipped waste, as it may be dangerous)
  • the approximate amount of waste

As part of this form, we will ask you for your email address. This is so we can keep you up to date on what we will do to resolve/address your issue.

Please fill in this form to report fly-tipping on the roadside or on district council owned land.

We will normally remove fly-tipped rubbish within 24 hours, although large amounts of contaminated rubbish may require specialist removal.

We may not be able to pursue legal action against any identified offenders if you choose to remain anonymous.
