Form introduction
The objective of the Household Support Fund is to provide support to households who are in immediate need.
The scheme will focus support primarily to food and energy and essentials.
Eligibility Criteria: Non-pensioner Households with or without Children
Eligible households are those that are in immediate need and fit in one of the following categories:
- Households that are
- in arrears with their utilities or
- using or have been using a food bank or
- have been identified as being in immediate need by a professional service and
- are in receipt of Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support or
- experiencing considerable in work poverty
- Care leavers up to the age of 25
- Young people with an Education Healthcare Plan aged 19-24 who are eligible for Free School Meals
- 2-year old’s accessing a funded childcare place.
- Universal Credit
- Income based Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
- Income based Employment Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Child Tax Credit
Eligibility Criteria: Low Income Households with children under 5, not eligible for funded childcare and not in receipt of Free School Meals
Eligible households are those with children under 5, that are in immediate need and fit in one of the following categories:
Low income households with children under 2 not attending child care settings
- Low income households with a 2, 3, or 4 yr old not accessing childcare entitlements or early years pupil premium.
- Known to domestic abuse services.
- Assessed by a professional as in urgent need for food or energy
