Outcome of the Selective Licensing Consultation
Mansfield District Council is committed to improving housing and property management standards in our town. To achieve this, we have introduced Selective Licensing in targeted areas. Residents, landlords, agents, and local businesses were given the opportunity, through a statutory consultation process, to share their views on the proposals. Flyers, emails, and letters were distributed, and drop-in sessions were held to obtain as much feedback as possible to inform the proposals.
The feedback from the consultation, along with supporting data explaining why Selective Licensing would help the council achieve its objectives, was gathered and analysed. A report presenting these findings, along with recommendations, was then submitted to the Portfolio Holder for Housing on 12 March 2025.
