Proposed Local Lettings Policy
Mansfield District Council is seeking feedback on its proposed Local Lettings Policy.
Local Lettings Policies can be used in specific circumstances to support sustainable communities and address local housing needs. The policy explains when and how local lettings arrangements may be applied, whilst ensuring that allocations remain fair, transparent and in line with legislation and regulatory requirements.
The proposed policy aims to:
- Support stable and sustainable communities.
- Respond to local housing and neighbourhood needs.
- Promote tenancy sustainment.
- Ensure fair, transparent and accountable decision-making.
- Make best use of available housing stock.
