On Monday 4 January 2021, the Prime Minister announced a national lockdown is now in place for England. It's important we all do our bit, we must stay at home and should only leave for essential reasons. Read the national lockdown restrictions.
On Monday 22 February 2021, the Prime Minister announced that from 8 March, people in England will see restrictions start to lift and the government’s four-step roadmap offer a route back to a more normal life. Read more on the roadmap out of lockdown.
Please continue to:
- wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds
- wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet
- stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing a face covering, or increasing ventilation indoors)
- download the NHS COVID-19 app and check in to venues you visit.
