We offer an assisted collection service for residents who need help to put their bins out for collection.
What we offer
If you are unable to move your wheelie bins due to age, disability or medical problems our operatives can collect the bin from your property and return it once empty.
If your bins are usually stored behind locked gates, these must be left unlocked from 6.30am on your collection day. We are not able to return to bins that we have been unable to collect because of locked gates.
Please be aware that the council are only able to offer assisted collections if certain criteria are met, these include when:
- There is a medical issue that prevents the resident from being able to put their bin out for collection, and
- There is nobody to put your bin out for you (family member, neighbour etc).
If you feel that you do meet the criteria detailed above, you should complete the form below. Your request will then be considered and if necessary, we may need to inspect the property to get an understanding of whether this service is required.
