The Executive Mayor and all 36 Mansfield district councillors meet together as the Full Council and vote on reports containing recommendations from the Executive (Cabinet), other committees and officers.
Full Council sets the policy framework and budget for each year. A list of the functions and responsibilities of the council can be found in the council's Constitution.
Full Council's work is supported by the Executive Mayor, Cabinet and the statutory committees (Planning Applications, Licensing Committee, Governance and Ethics and Overview and Scrutiny).
There is an opportunity for the public to submit written questions to the Monitoring Officer, seven days prior to the meeting. If accepted, the question can be asked by the person submitting the question at the next available meeting. For more details, see our Asking questions at meetings page.
