Two purpose-built Changing Places are now open, in Four Seasons Shopping Centre and Mansfield Museum.
These facilities have been made possible thanks to funding from the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
The facilities are designed to help individuals with physical needs and include:
- a height-adjustable adult changing bench
- a ceiling track hoist
- a toilet with space for two assistants and privacy.
There will also be wider paper rolls, a large waste disposal bin, a backrest on the toilet seat and a height-adjustable wash basin installed.
Using the facilities
The Changing Place in Mansfield Museum is readily accessible during opening hours.
The Changing Place at the Four Seasons Shopping Centre is accessible with a fob/swipe-card pass, which is available free of charge to eligible customers upon request. We have had to implement this security to avoid vandalism.
