Mansfield Panto: wishing for the best family pantomine? Your wish is our command...

The amazing story of a boy, a lamp, and a genie returns to spread magic across the Mansfield Palace Theatre stage for December 2024.

Headlining our cast this Christmas is James Mackenzie who will be playing the character you’ll love to hate, Abanazar. James is best known for his role as Raven in the multi BAFTA award winning CBBC series of the same name. In the last few years, he has also been introduced to a whole new generation as James in the smash hit CBeebies series, Molly and Mack.

Mansfield Museum: Christopher's Christmas

From the company who brought you The Lost Present…A Christmas Adventure! comes a new wintery tale for the whole family to share.: Christopher’s Christmas.

Its Christmas Eve and Christopher Nibble and his family are putting the finishing touches to his tree when their festive fun is interrupted by a shocking radio announcement. Father Christmas is lost! His Santa Nav has broken and he can’t find Dandeville! The guinea pigs gather together and hatch a plan to save Christmas… but everything they do seems to cause chaos and calamity. Suddenly there is a power cut and it seems like all is lost. Does Christopher Nibble have the seasonal spirit to save the day? Or will the guinea pigs of Dandeville wake up to empty stockings this year?

Christopher’s Christmas is written especially for children aged 2-7 and their families and is a Makaton friendly performance.

Told using beautiful puppets and stunning scenery, Christopher’s Christmas is a collaboration between the creator of Christopher Nibble, Charlotte Middleton, and Claire Alizon Hills of Topsy Turvy Theatre.

Show times are either 11am or 1pm each day.
