Ensuring that new buildings can be used by all sections of the community is an important aspect of the building regulations.

There is a legal duty on all those who provide services to the public to make reasonable adjustments to their premises to make sure that disabled people can access their goods, services and facilities.

Our building control service is now managed by Erewash District Council (opens in a new window) who can offer advice to owners and developers of new and existing buildings to make sure that they are suitable for people with disabilities to use and that they conform to building regulations.
