The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the planning policy that is to be prepared by Mansfield District Council and the timetable for its preparation. It came into effect on 24 September 2026 and supersedes the Mansfield District Local Development Scheme 2025 (Opens in a New Window).
A Local Development Scheme is required under section 15 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended by the Localism Act 2011).
