Local community and voluntary groups encouraged to apply for £10,000 grants
Local community and voluntary groups are being encouraged to apply for grants of up to £10,000 as part of the Pride in Place Impact Fund.
The Pride in Place Impact Fund (PIP-IF) was established by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) as part of its £5 billion Pride in Place Programme, which aims to invest directly in local neighbourhoods, helping to restore pride in the places.
The programme is locally led, with improvements shaped by local priorities and context. Mansfield District Council was awarded a total allocation of £1.5 million from the PIP-IF (2025–27) to deliver against the fund’s three core objectives
- Community spaces
- Public spaces
- High street and town centre revitalisation
In continuing the community approach, the PIP‑IF Grant Board has agreed that the remaining funds will be directed towards a series of very small, grassroots‑level capital projects that strengthen community spaces and local pride.
To ensure this remaining funding reaches organisations that can benefit most, the Board is working with Mansfield CVS to offer the opportunity for community and voluntary groups to apply for a small scale grants of up to £10,000 each. These grants will support practical, place‑based improvements delivered by trusted local groups already active in their neighbourhoods.
This final phase of funding will help complete the overall PIP‑IF programme, which has already supported a wide range of community led initiatives across the district. By focusing the remaining resources on smaller capital projects, the Board aims to maximise local impact while ensuring the fund is fully and responsibly allocated.

Elected Mayor of Mansfield, Andy Abrahams said:
“We recently announced plans to support several local community projects with £1.5 million of Pride in Place grants, however, there’s still some of that money left so we are delighted that we can work with Mansfield CVS, to really target some of those organisations in the community who could benefit from this extra funding.”
