Mansfield will come together to celebrate its Armed Forces at a special Armed Forces Fest in the town centre on Saturday 27 June 2026 as part of Armed Forces Day.

Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday in June each year and is an opportunity for communities across the country to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community. This includes currently serving personnel, service families, veterans and cadets.

The Mansfield Armed Forces Fest is being organised by Mansfield BID and will take place outside the Town Hall in the Market Place. The day will feature a programme of live entertainment, activities, displays and performances designed to recognise and celebrate the contribution of the Armed Forces community with more to be announced over the next few weeks. The event will start at 10.30am and finish at 4.15pm.

The event has received funding from Central Government, with support from the Member of Parliament for Mansfield, Steve Yemm. It is also being supported by Mansfield District Council and the Royal British Legion.

Jay Rowlinson, Chief Executive of Mansfield BID, said:

“I am pleased to be able to announce the details of this year’s Armed Forces Day Fest in the town centre. As a former member of the Armed Forces, spending 33 years in the forces, I take great pride in organising this event. This year will be different to previous years, we want to deliver a modern and engaging celebration that recognises the dedication and courage of our men and women on the front line, whilst also being a great family day out. We know how important Armed Forces Day is to the people of Mansfield and we are looking forward to a fantastic day where the whole community can come together to show its support.”

Steve Yemm, Member of Parliament for Mansfield, said:

“I am delighted that the Government is providing financial support for this year’s Armed Forces Day Fest in Mansfield. This day is hugely important to our Armed Forces personnel and their families, and it gives us all the chance to say thank you for everything they have done, and continue to do, to protect our country.”

Executive Mayor of Mansfield, Andy Abrahams, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be supporting Mansfield BID with the Armed Forces Day Fest this year. Mansfield District Council supports the Armed Forces through our Armed Forces Covenant, which ensures that service personnel, veterans and their families are offered health, wellbeing and financial support. We are grateful to Mansfield BID, our local MP and Central Government for working together to deliver this excellent event, recognising the incredible work carried out by our Armed Forces both at home and overseas to keep us safe.”
