Thousands of visitors are expected to attend a free light and fire extravaganza in Mansfield next month.

The Mansfield FireLight Festival will be held in Titchfield Park on Friday 20 February and Saturday 21 February 2026 between 5.30pm and 9pm.
The event, organised by Mansfield District Council, is free to attend thanks to funding from the Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Arts Council England.
The festival will feature the showstopping Walk the Plank’s Fire Garden, an immersive experience that will blaze a spectacular trail through one half the park.
Visitors of all ages will be able to explore the fire garden at their own pace and get close enough to feel the heat. Dog owners are welcome to bring their pets providing they remain on a lead.
The installation encompasses a variety of intricate hand-crafted artworks, including shimmering burning bushes, giant lotus flowers pulsing plumes of fire and imposing trees in fiery bloom.
The other half of the park will shimmer amid the return of a bigger and better light trail, which has lit up the town’s Carr Bank Park in February for the past two years.
There will be more mirror balls and the popular enchanted forest will be back with extra animals to spot in the woodland. The light tunnel and fairy wall will also return as favourite selfie spots.
Executive Mayor Andy Abrahams said: “It is going to be amazing and an unforgettable experience. What better way to get off the sofa and brighten up a mid-winter weekend?
“Come and enjoy it with all the family and make some memories. Why not bring your own glowsticks, torches and light-up hats and be part of the illuminations? Remember to wrap up warmly and dress for the weather.”
There will be a variety of food vendors at the event and the festival will feature relaxed viewing times between 5.30pm and 6pm each day.
During this time the lights and sounds will be dimmer, certain lights will be switched off and some fire installations will not be ignited to make the experience more accessible for those who prefer an environment that is quieter and less visually dramatic.
