The countdown begins for the return of Party on the Market!

There are less than 11 days to go until Mansfield’s Market Place is transformed into a live music and party hub for the return of Party on the Market.

On Sunday 4 June, the day will start at 12noon in Westgate where you will be able to sample some of the delicious street food on offer, with a wide selection of mouth-watering dishes to satisfy every taste bud. Enjoy your food with fantastic live performances in our dedicated busker area with family fun fair stalls on offer too.

Mansfield BID and Mansfield District Council, with event partners CANVAS and Mansfield 103.2, are thrilled to share the main stage set times for the music line-up on the Market Place. At 2pm the main event kicks off:

• 2.15pm - A Million Dreams performing as The Greatest Showman

• 3.15pm - The Harry Styles Experience

• 4.15pm - Dan Budd as Robbie Williams

• 5pm – Jono and Miss Margo Crowd Karaoke

• 5.15pm - ABBA Fever

• 6.20pm - Gareth Gates

• 7pm – Event close

The fantastic free stage show will be hosted by Jono Edwards and Mansfield 103.2’s Ian Watko, with special guests including Miss Margo and the 103.2 radio crew. In between each act there’ll be fun and frolics including crowd karaoke, a battle of the bands dance off and plenty of free giveaways. Be prepared for lots of belly laughter, and bring your best singing voices along to join in with the crowd karaoke.

An outside family bar will also be in the Market Place, serving up refreshing drinks to keep the party going all day. We ask party-goers to drink responsibly and only in the designated bar area.

Executive Mayor of Mansfield Andy Abrahams said: “Party on the Market is just another fantastic example of what we can achieve by working in partnership with one another.

“The event is being funded jointly by Mansfield BID and Mansfield District Council and is shaping up to be a Sunday for which you just need to be in the town centre. There is something for all the family and plenty of free entertainment and activities; let’s kick-start the summer event programme with a day to remember!”

The council's donation to the event came from the Destination Mansfield project, which is funded by the Government’s Towns Fund.

Party on the Market promises to be a fantastic free day out, with live music, delicious food, and a lively atmosphere for people of all ages.

Jay Rowlinson, Chief Executive of Mansfield BID, said: “Our goal is simple, we are aiming to make Mansfield the event capital of Nottinghamshire, and this event is just one more step at getting us there.

“Bringing this high level of footfall to the town centre demonstrates to businesses further how committed all parties are to increase the vibrancy and traffic in the town centre, and in turn, it acts as a stimulus to give people a reason to get back into the town.”

Businessman Jono Edwards added: “Party on the Market is a celebration of community, culture, and entertainment, bringing people together in the heart of Mansfield. This is a great place to have a party!

“Everyone is getting behind this to bring the fun factor and a free day out, which none of us hopes to forget. This event will take place rain or shine, so I encourage all visitors to mark their calendars and come prepared for a fantastic day in the town centre.”

There will be road closures in place on Leeming Street and Westgate, so we ask that people who usually access these areas make alternative arrangements on the day.

We have portaloos and a dedicated Changing Places facility nearby on Church Street and we have a designated disabled viewing area at the front of stage which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
