The Allotment Trustees for the Labouring Poor, a local charity, have vacancies for five independent non-elected trustees, who are appointed by the council.
The trustees, along with a number of councillors, provide guidance on the management and maintenance of the trusts allotments, which sit within the former Borough of Mansfield.
Trust meetings are held every two months. Trustees are required to attend tours of the allotments, which take place four times a year and other meetings as required. Applications are invited from members of the public for the five positions to serve as a trustee for a four year period, ending May 2027.
Anyone interested in fulfilling this role is required to complete and return an application form by 5.00p.m., Monday, 17 April 2023.
