We currently collect and process the following information:

How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- For the purposes of processing your recruitment request/application. Which includes: Shortlisting, testing, Interviews and assessments, and pre-employment checks.
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
- For the purpose of fulfilling DBS checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service
- Referees as identified by the applicant
We use the information that you have given us in order to process your recruitment application and undertake pre-employment checks.
We may share this information with Disclosure and Barring Service, Nottinghamshire Police, East Midlands Councils, Thomas International.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting recruitment@mansfield.gov.uk
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep the information gathered as part of this process for six months following the final interview date, if you are unsuccessful. We will then dispose your information by receiving a triggered notification from our systems that your data is due to be destroyed. This will be manually reviewed and destroyed in line with our retention policies.
