What if my employee does not earn enough for me to make the deduction?
If the weekly or monthly earnings are below the threshold (see table A & B in section 6) you cannot calculate a DEA deduction.
You must tell the Council why a deduction cannot be made by using a Direct Earnings Attachment payments schedule (see section 13 for information on this).
You must continue to calculate whether a DEA deduction can be made, each pay period until either we tell you to stop or your employee leaves your employment.
