You can use your brown bin to recycle:
- grass cuttings
- hedge trimmings
- leaves
- small branches and twigs
- plants
- weeds, and
- cut flowers.
Please do not put the following items in your brown bin:
- bagged waste - do not put your garden waste in plastic bags
- food and kitchen waste
- invasive plant species, such as Japanese knotweed
- garden furniture
- treated wood
- turf
- soil, bricks or rocks
- large logs, and
- building waste.
Garden waste produced by an employed gardener is classed as commercial waste and therefore should not be presented in the garden waste bin.
