There are many ways to pay your Council Tax, including by Direct Debit, online, via our 24 hour payment line, or in person at a Post Office or PayPoint location.
Direct Debit
Setting up a Direct Debit is quick and easy.
You'll need:
- Council Tax account number
- bank name, branch and sort code
- bank account number on the name(s) on the account
Set up a Council Tax Direct Debit
To change your Direct Debit instruction, please fill in a new form.
Important - If you have previously cancelled a direct debit, have a history of unpaid direct debit instalments, or you have received a Council Tax reminder, summons or liability order we may not accept your request to pay by direct debit. We will notify you by email if this is the case.

Online
Paying online is easy and secure. We accept all major credit and debit cards.
You'll need your Council Tax account number. This can be found on the top right of your Council Tax bill.

Our automated telephone line is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on 01623 428632.
In person
Allow three working days for your payment to reach your account.
