Pride in Place Impact Fund – Transforming Places Capital Grant Applications

Mansfield District Council has launched a major new funding opportunity, inviting applications to the Pride in Place Impact Fund – Transforming Places Capital Grants Programme - a £1 million investment aimed at delivering visible, lasting improvements across the district by March 2027.

The fund forms part of the Government’s £5 billion Pride in Place Programme, to help restore pride in the places people call home. Mansfield District Council has been awarded £1.5 million in total through the programme, with £1 million now available through this open call for projects.

The Fund will support capital-only projects that deliver immediate and tangible improvements to:

  • Community spaces, such as community buildings, cultural venues and shared facilities
  • Public spaces, including parks, green spaces, play areas and public realm
  • High streets and town centres, supporting revitalisation, footfall and local pride

Grants of £50,000 to £200,000 are available for larger-scale capital improvements that create clear, visible impact for local people. All funded projects must be completed by 31 March 2027.

The programme is locally led, with funding decisions shaped by community priorities, public consultation and local knowledge. Projects should demonstrate how they respond to local challenges, improve places that matter to residents, and leave a positive legacy beyond the lifetime of the fund.

Applications are welcomed from a wide range of organisations, including:

  • Local authorities and town or parish councils
  • Registered charities, CICs and social enterprises
  • Community and voluntary organisations
  • Not-for-profit constituted groups
  • Public sector and education institutions (for community outcomes)

Projects must be based within Mansfield District, involve local people and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with Pride in Place Impact Fund metrics.

Examples of eligible projects include refurbishing community buildings, upgrading parks and play areas, improving accessibility and safety in public spaces, bringing vacant high street premises back into use, creating new community facilities, and delivering environmental and green infrastructure improvements. The Council may also commission or encourage collaboration between projects to ensure a coherent and impactful overall programme.

The application window is now open and will close at 4pm on Sunday 22 February 2026.

Completed applications and supporting documents should be submitted by email to regeneration@mansfield.gov.uk.

Project size: £50,000–£200,000
Deadline: 4pm on Sunday 22 February 2026.
