ART SCHOOL… IN A TRAIL!
SEE ARTWORKS AT MANSFIELD MUSEUM IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT THIS FEBRUARY HALF TERM
This February half term, children aged 9+ and their families are invited to see artwork at Mansfield Museum in a whole new light with Art School… in a trail! – a free spotter trail from Kids in Museums and Hachette.
Taking place in over 40 museums across the UK, the trail celebrates the release of Art School (in a book), an exciting introduction to the world of contemporary art for young creatives from the makers of hit podcast Talk Art, actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament.
Pick up a free activity sheet to take part at Mansfield Museum. Families can enjoy a traditional museum or gallery spotter trail with a creative twist – each stop unlocks a playful mission designed to help visitors look at and talk about artworks in the collection in fun, accessible ways. Complete the activity sheet to receive your Art School sticker.
There’s also a special drawing competition. Share your artwork on Instagram or BlueSky using the hashtag #ArtSchoolTrail and tag @kidsinmuseums for the chance to win prizes to unlock your inner artist, including a Double National Art Pass Plus Kids and a signed copy of Art School (in a book).
The activity will run from Tuesday 17 Febraury to Saturday 21 February 2026.
