Celebrate February Half Term at Mansfield Museum with Fun, Free Family Activities!

Mansfield Museum is gearing up for a week of creative, hands-on fun this February Half Term, with activities suitable for all ages—and best of all, everything is free!

From Tuesday 17 February to Friday 20 February, families are invited to drop in between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM each day to take part in a variety of exciting workshops and activities:

  • Tuesday 17 February – Chinese New Year Mask-Making
    Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit by designing and creating your very own festive mask. This family-friendly session is full of arts, crafts, and imagination!

  • Wednesday 18 February – Green Heroes Cress Heads
    Discover our Green Heroes exhibition and get hands-on making your very own cress head to take home and grow. A fun and creative way to learn about plants and environmental heroes!

  • Thursday 19 February – 3D Bug Workshop
    Bring your mini explorers along to create colourful 3D bugs and design habitats for them. A perfect mix of crafting, learning, and imaginative play.

  • Friday 20 February – LEGO Day
    We’re bringing out our vast collection of LEGO bricks for a day of building and creativity. Take a seat, let your imagination run wild, and see what incredible creations you can make!

All activities are free, suitable for all ages, and don’t require booking—just drop in and join the fun. Whether you’re looking for arts and crafts, hands-on learning, or building challenges, there’s something for everyone at Mansfield Museum this Half Term.
