Mansfield Museum Launches Search for Local Green Heroes

Mansfield Museum is calling on the local community to help celebrate the people and organisations making a real difference for the environment.

As part of a new initiative to highlight positive environmental action, the museum is inviting nominations for Mansfield’s Green Heroes – a campaign to recognise those who are going above and beyond to make Mansfield greener, cleaner, and more sustainable.

From protecting wildlife and enhancing biodiversity, to planting trees, reducing waste, and inspiring others to live more sustainably, Green Heroes come in many forms. The museum is seeking nominations for individuals, community groups, schools, or local businesses who are leading the way in conservation, sustainability, or environmental education.

Twelve nominees will be selected by a judging panel and featured in a special exhibition at Mansfield Museum later this year, celebrating their contributions to our local environment and community.

Councillor [Insert Name], Portfolio Holder for [Environment/Culture/etc.], said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes in our community who are working tirelessly to protect our green spaces, wildlife, and future. We want to showcase their stories and inspire others to take action.”
