We are excited to offer students the opportunity to participate in HOME: Zero, an interactive art installation created by Makers of Imaginary Worlds and commissioned by Nesta and National Gallery X.

Calling all local educators!

Mansfield Museum is excited to offer students the opportunity to participate in HOME: Zero, an interactive art installation created by Makers of Imaginary Worlds and commissioned by Nesta and National Gallery X (The National Gallery and King’s College London).

Designed for children aged 7 to 11 and facilitated by an actor, this is a child-led experience designed as a hexagonal room which utilises both the inside and outside space. It contains 3 projection screens; recycled/found household objects, and uses devices embedded with gaming technologies. This unique project has been co-designed with Nottingham families to encourage us all to reimagine how we can make a sustainable difference starting at home.

This FREE experience will help students gain a greater understanding of sustainability, the National Gallery's painting collection, and covers a number of cross curricular themes in a fun and exciting way. Children will be asked to make a pledge to help climate change, and there is also a post visit activity.

Teachers interested in booking to visit between 6 to 10 February (10am to 12pm or 12.30pm to 2.30pm) should contact Rachael on rboaler@mansfield.gov.uk.  Slots are limited so be quick!
