Supporting Artistic Growth in Mansfield - opportunities for creatives
Mansfield District Council is transforming the creative landscape by providing local artists with the space and support needed to develop their talents and create new work. Through NPO-funded initiatives, underutilised rehearsal spaces have been repurposed for artist residencies, fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
Museum Explorers - Bringing Mansfield's History to LIfe for Young Minds

The Museum Explorers project set out to spark curiosity and creativity in young people aged 7-14 years by inviting them to engage with Mansfield Museum’s collection in a hands-on, imaginative way. Through monthly workshops, children had the chance to examine historical objects up close, respond to them creatively, and develop a deeper connection with their local heritage.
Future Movement - young people discovering creative careers
Run in partnership with dance organisations, Rambert, Future Movement is a free, innovative programme designed for young people aged 16-21 who want to explore and expand their creativity. With sessions in three locations — Rambert London, Mansfield Palace Theatre, and Toxteth Library in Liverpool — it brings together diverse voices to create something meaningful.

An ordinary day in Mansfield - Using Animation to Celebrate Creativity and Community
Mansfield District Council is helping young people share their voices in unique and creative ways. Through the NPO-funded “Mansfield and
the World” programme, a group of autistic young people from Spectrum WASP came together to create a a vibrant digital animation that beautifully
captured their unique views of what Mansfield means to them, offering a glimpse into their world and their perspectives.
Under the guidance of a digital animation artist, the project enabled these young people to take creative control, using animation to explore their
ideas and bring their stories to life in a way that was both personal and inspiring.
A Flight of Pixels - Transforming natural history through technology
Mansfield Museum embraced a visionary approach to cultural engagement with A Flight of Pixels, an innovative project that reimagined its Victorian and Edwardian bird taxidermy collection.
This groundbreaking digital exhibition blended cutting-edge technology with creative artistry, transforming static
displays into a mesmerising, immersive experience for audiences.
