Join us for a two-hour interactive workshop on bird taxidermy, delivered by industry expert Sarah Burhouse of Burhouse Taxidermy. This is a great way to learn more about our collection and explore our World of Birds exhibition at Mansfield Museum.
In this session, you’ll see:

How to set up a bird for mounting

Different types of forms, leg and wing wiring

Stitching techniques for preparing the skin

How to pose and arrange a bird naturally
The demo will be accompanied by a slideshow of past projects, giving you a chance to see a range of styles and techniques. Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout.
