screenography

Step into the world of virtual production with this hands-on creative technology workshop focused on building theatrical scenes inside Unreal Engine.

Game Engine Screenography
Wednesday 18 February, 5:30pm–8:30pm — £4.50

You’ll learn how to design, construct, and arrange scenic elements — from sets and props to lighting, atmosphere, and animated performers — and discover how to bring your scene to life using animation sequences and real-time tools.

Guided by specialists from MBD (Metro Boulo Dodo), you’ll gain practical insight into how game engines can be used for stage design, storytelling, immersive installations, and hybrid digital performance. Whether you’re a theatre-maker, digital artist, filmmaker, or simply curious about creative applications of Unreal Engine, this workshop offers a friendly, accessible introduction to the possibilities of screenography.

No prior experience is needed — just an interest in exploring how virtual spaces can enhance or transform your creative practice. Join us to build, play, experiment, and imagine new worlds.
