Dogs at the Museum

dogs welcome evening

Join us at Mansfield Museum for a truly unique and joyful celebration: a special Dog Cinema Evening, part of our Dogs at the Museum experience.

This one-of-a-kind event invites you and your four-legged friends to enjoy a relaxed, festive screening of the Christmas classic Home Alone (starting at 7:00pm sharp).

Unlike traditional cinema settings, our museum offers a flexible, pet-friendly layout. Your pups can:

  • Get cosy beside you on a blanket

  • Wander the museum galleries with you on lead

  • Explore the delightful exhibition It’s a Dog’s Life from the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre

Our charming hosts, Henry and George the pugs, will welcome every canine guest with a complimentary small bag of dog-friendly popcorn and their very own puppuccino.

🎟️ Tickets:

  • £7.50 per person

  • Dogs go free!

  • Pre-booking is essential – spaces are limited and this event will fill up fast

What to Expect:

  • A continuous screening in a relaxed, dog-friendly environment

  • Dogs are welcome to settle beside you, wander on lead, or explore the galleries

  • Water bowls and an outdoor space available for comfort breaks

  • The museum café open for drinks and cinema treats for humans

  • A lively, friendly atmosphere where barking is part of the fun!

What to Bring:

  • No more than two dogs per guest

  • A blanket for your dog to relax on

  • Dogs must be kept on leads at all times

  • Kindness and consideration for fellow guests and pups

Whether you stay for the whole film or just soak up the atmosphere and exhibitions, this festive event is the perfect way to kick off the season with your furry best friend.

We can’t wait to welcome you! 🐢🎬✨
