A lot has changed since we first opened our doors to entertain the public in 1910 but one thing remains: We are at the heart of the community and a welcoming, safe space for everybody to visit.

We are delighted that Mansfield Museum and Mansfield Palace Theatre are supported by an annual grant of £618,063 by Arts Council England to be a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO).

This NPO funding has allowed us to bring world class cultural experiences and events to a much wider audience. A key aim for this funding is to bring an ambitious and imaginative arts programme including cultural opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged people, educational work, support for emerging talent, and creating pathways for young people to consider careers in the creative sector.

This funding has also enabled us to carry out conservation work on our museum collections and allowed us to stage high-quality and large-scale events and exhibitions.
