Audiences are invited to experience dance theatre like never before when BUSK, the acclaimed production from Project Dance, takes to the stage at Mansfield Palace Theatre at 7.30pm on Wednesday 31 March 2027.

With all tickets priced at just £10, the special offer makes this the perfect opportunity to step outside your usual theatre-going comfort zone, discover something different and experience the magic of live performance at an affordable price.

Toe-tapping, life-affirming and joyous, BUSK is a breathtaking story of love, hope and redemption, set in the heart of a welcoming local pub, the Fox and The Fiddle. Blending mesmerising movement with an enchanting original soundtrack, this narrative dance theatre production brings a vibrant community to life through the universal language of music and dance.

At the centre of the story is landlord Hugo, whose charismatic personality keeps his pub and its close-knit community thriving. While he treasures moments with his daughter, Isla, he also dreams of repairing his relationship with his former partner, Lauren.

But when a fragile soul arrives with a melody that seems to connect them all, the lives of the pub’s regulars begin to change. As the beauty and brutality of life collide, unexpected connections offer a glimpse of hope – and the possibility of finding a way home.

Created by narrative dance theatre trailblazers Project Dance, BUSK features acclaimed choreography by James Bamford and an original score by Charles Harrison. Returning following popular demand, the production has already received praise for its emotional depth and captivating performances.

The Fine Times Recorder described the show as “exciting, sad, thoughtful, provocative, engaging and joyous dance theatre work”, while the Yeovil Press called it “an experience to behold of mesmeric proportions”.

Whether you love contemporary dance, ballet, folk, Irish or classical music, or simply enjoy a powerful story and musical theatre, BUSK offers a chance to experience something unexpected – and with every ticket just £10, there has never been a better time to give it a go.

Suitable for ages six and above, the production explores some adult themes through narrative dance theatre and includes the use of theatrical haze.

BUSK is presented in association with The Octagon Theatre, Yeovil, and supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. The production is proudly part of More Than Dance.
