Laughs guaranteed as The Comedy Store returns to Mansfield Palace Theatre

With a reputation for showcasing some of the biggest and brightest talent on the comedy circuit, The Comedy Store promises an evening packed with sharp one-liners, hilarious observations, musical comedy and plenty of audience interaction.

Leading the line-up is Christian Reilly, a musical comedian and global comedy circuit headliner who has performed at comedy festivals around the world, as well as on BBC radio and television. A regular at the Edinburgh Festival since 1999, Christian is known for using his impressive guitar and vocal skills to take aim at everything from histrionic rock bands and musical theatre to morose indie musicians.

His first comedy gig was in the Perrier Award-winning Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw, with Rich Hall himself describing Reilly as a “funny sonofabitch”. The Scotsman has praised him as “a charmingly confident performer, an accomplished musician and a clever comic”, adding: “The funniest songs I have heard in a long time.” His acclaimed 2019 show Gig Economy was subsequently released on DVD.

Joining him is Liam Farrelly, a 21-year-old Scottish comedian from Paisley whose meteoric rise through the comedy ranks began when he started performing stand-up at just 17. Within a year of first stepping onto a stage, Liam was already performing at some of the UK's leading comedy clubs, including The Stand, Monkey Barrel, Hot Water Comedy Club and both the London and Manchester Comedy Stores.

His career has since seen him nominated for and win a raft of awards, make a guest acting appearance on BBC Scotland's Scot Squad and write and produce an episode of BBC Scotland's Short Stuff. A charismatic performer with impeccable timing, Liam combines brilliant material with a dry, understated delivery that makes his punchlines land with effortless precision.

Sully O'Sullivan brings his trademark energetic deadpan style and famously rambunctious crowd work to the Mansfield stage. The multi-award-winning New Zealand comic has taken his comedy around the globe, performing everywhere from Pakuranga to Prague and New Plymouth to Nova Scotia.

His sharp wit and ability to work a room have earned plenty of critical acclaim, with The Scotsman describing him as a highlight of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, while the Australian Times praised his “impeccable” timing and wit. The BBC has also hailed his “wicked sense of humour”.

Completing the line-up is Josh Jones, the Mancunian “ray of sunshine” and one of the most exciting comedy voices to emerge from the North West in recent years.

Josh has appeared on a host of TV favourites, including E4's 8 Out of 10 Cats, ITV's Jonathan Ross' Comedy Club, CelebAbility and The Stand Up Sketch Show, Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Dave's Late Night Mash, BBC Two's The Apprentice: You're Fired and Comedy Central's Guessable and Rhod Gilbert's Growing Pains. He has also hosted BBC Three's Fast Food Face-Off and recently made his debut appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

An Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee, Josh's sell-out shows Waste of Space and Gobsmacked cemented his reputation as a hugely entertaining live performer. Away from the stage, he hosts the historical-gossip podcast Dead Drama and co-hosts Chatting with Cherubs with Morgan Rees.
