Mansfield Palace Theatre has a spectacular September in store, with an exciting mix of comedy, music, theatre, film and nostalgic favourites.

From side-splitting adults-only panto and legendary rock anthems to Shakespeare, wartime classics and unforgettable tribute performances, there’s something for every taste.

Whether you’re looking for a great night out with friends, a special afternoon treat or simply an excuse to get out and enjoy live entertainment, September promises plenty of reasons to take your seat at the Palace.

Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September – P*ssed Up Panto: Cinderella (16+)
Forget everything you know about Cinderella! This hilarious adults-only take on the classic fairy tale sees one member of the cast enjoying a few drinks before taking to the stage. Expect chaos, audience participation, plenty of naughtiness and a fairy tale that definitely won’t go according to plan!

Saturday 5 September – Sip and Sounds: Jan and Paul Ramsey
Settle into Groucho’s Bar for an intimate evening of live folk music from Jan and Paul Ramsey. Their repertoire includes folk music, award winning self-penned songs, and Americana played on guitar, violin, harmonica and melodeon.

Wednesday 9 September – D-Day Darlings
The nation’s favourite wartime vocal group return to Mansfield for a nostalgic matinee celebrating the music, memories and spirit of a remarkable generation. Expect beloved wartime songs and plenty of feel-good nostalgia.

Thursday 10 September – Music in the Round: Beethoven Piano Sonatas
Experience Beethoven’s extraordinary piano sonatas in an intimate and immersive concert by Tim Horton. A wonderful opportunity to hear these masterpieces up close and in the unique atmosphere of Music in the Round.

Friday 11 September – Think Floyd
Turn the volume up and journey through the iconic music of Pink Floyd. With outstanding musicianship, spectacular visuals and all the atmosphere you’d expect from a Floyd experience, Think Floyd promises a night to remember.

Saturday 12 September – The Comedy Store (16+)
Get ready for a serious dose of laughter as the UK’s premier comedy club rolls into Mansfield with appearances from Sammy Dobson, Faizan Shah and Joe Wells. With top stand-up talent and a packed night of big laughs, The Comedy Store is the perfect night out for comedy fans.

Wednesday 16 September – The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town
Immortalised by The Two Ronnies, this wonderfully surreal Jack the Ripper parody is jam-packed with Spike Milligan and Ronnie Barker-inspired absurdism, clever puns, ribaldry, quick-fire jokes and gloriously silly wordplay. Expect the unexpected!

Thursday 17 September – Arrival: The Hits of ABBA
Dancing shoes at the ready! Relive the magic of ABBA with an electrifying tribute packed with the Swedish supergroup’s biggest and best-loved hits. Expect sequins, soaring vocals and plenty of opportunities to sing along.

Friday 18 September – FastLove: The Tribute to George Michael
Celebrate the extraordinary career of one of pop music’s greatest stars. FastLove brings George Michael’s much-loved hits to the stage in a spectacular tribute that will have audiences singing along to the soundtrack of a generation.

Friday 18 September – Exhibition on Screen: Caravaggio
Discover the extraordinary life and revolutionary art of Caravaggio through this acclaimed cinematic exhibition experience. A fascinating evening for art lovers and anyone intrigued by one of history’s most influential painters.

Saturday 19 September – A Vision of Elvis
Award-winning tribute artist Rob Kingsley brings the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll back to the stage. With the music, charisma and unmistakable spirit of Elvis Presley, this is a must-see for Elvis fans of all ages.

Wednesday 23 September – William Shakespeare’s Macbeth (11+)

Friday 25 – Sunday 27 September – Mansfield Town Film Festival
Film lovers are in for a treat as Mansfield Town Film Festival takes over for a vibrant weekend celebrating independent filmmaking, creativity, storytelling and emerging talent. A fantastic opportunity to discover new voices and enjoy the magic of cinema.

Wednesday 30 September – Sh!t-Faced Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet (14+)
Shakespeare has never been quite this chaotic! Join a tipsily tragic cast as they tackle Romeo and Juliet, featuring a rat-arsed Romeo, a juiced-up Juliet and a whole host of characters who are definitely not behaving as Shakespeare intended. Expect mayhem, mischief and a very memorable version of the world’s most famous love story!
