Sequins, sass and spectacle: Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph to star in Mansfield’s glittering panto

Ugly sisters

This festive season, get ready to be swept off your feet as Mansfield Palace Theatre welcomes back dynamic duo Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph as the Ugly Sisters.

Between them, Jamie and Tarot bring over 50 years of pantomime experience to the stage – a legacy of laughter, spectacle and show-stopping performances. Catch them at the Leeming Street venue from Saturday 21 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

An established and formidable entertainer, Jamie started in showbiz at a very young age. His TV credits include Mad For It and Top Ten of Everything, both for ITV; The Big Breakfast for Channel 4; and a documentary on his one-man show, Life’s a Drag, for Sky. He has worked alongside many big names, including Ruth Madoc, Amanda Barrie, Lee Latchford-Evans and Keith Chegwin.

Tarot, better known to his friends as Taz, has been entertaining cabaret audiences for many years and wowing crowds alongside Jamie since 2006. He is a talented DJ and creative wig master, creating many of the wigs he and Jamie wear himself.

Jamie and Tarot have previously been nominated twice for ‘Best Sisters’ at the UK Pantomime Awards, something they are both extremely proud of.

Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph said:

We are absolutely fizzing with excitement to be tottering back to the glorious Mansfield Palace Theatre for this year’s Pantomime spectacular Cinderella! We are counting down the days on our glittery wall calendar - the sequins are stitched, the wigs are higher than ever, and the sass is fully recharged!

"Reuniting with our showbiz pal Adam Moss will be the cherry on top of our very fabulous cake - we adore him almost as much as we adore ourselves. Melody and Harmony Hard-Up are back and more fabulous than ever, armed with brand new costumes so dazzling they’ve had to be risk-assessed by health and safety.

Expect feathers, fake lashes, fierce one-liners and a wardrobe that’s louder than our singing (which is saying something). This year’s Cinderella is going to be a sparkle-fuelled rollercoaster of mayhem, madness, and magical moments - and Mansfield, darling, you’re in for an absolute treat!”

A spellbinding spectacle, this isn’t just any Cinderella. Produced by panto powerhouse UK Productions Ltd and written by acclaimed pantomime master Jon Monie, this production brings the magic of the fairytale to life with spectacular sets, dazzling lighting, glorious costumes and plenty of sparkle.

Audiences can expect riotous comedy, show-stopping dance numbers, fabulous surprises and all the traditional magic of panto, delivered with a modern twist.

The star-studded cast is yet to be announced (keep those eyes peeled – we have very exciting news to come), but already confirmed to join the ‘Uglies’ on stage is self-proclaimed ‘Mansfield’s favourite funny man’, Adam Moss, returning once again with his signature brand of high-energy hilarity.

Martin Dodd, Managing Director and Producer for UK Productions, said:

"We’re absolutely thrilled to have panto legends Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph bringing their hilarious double act to Mansfield this Christmas as Cinderella’s outrageous Step-Sisters, Melody and Harmony Hard-Up. Expect glamour, giggles and more outrageous costume changes than you can shake a slipper at!”

Whether it’s your annual festive outing or your child’s first theatre memory, this Cinderella promises laughter, wonder and gasp-out-loud spectacle at every turn.

On behalf of the Palace Theatre, Cultural Services Manager Christopher Neil said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome this dazzling cast and production team back to Mansfield Palace Theatre. Pantomime is such a treasured tradition for our audiences. This year’s show promises to be another joyful, high-energy celebration of theatre and family fun. We’re particularly proud to continue offering relaxed and signed performances to ensure the magic of live performance reaches as many people as possible.”
