Mother goose

This Easter, the stage a will come alive with laughter, music and magical mayhem as the much-loved Easter pantomime Mother Goose takes flight in a spectacular family production.

Taking place on Monday 30 March at 2pm and 7pm, this special one-day event promises a joyous, all-singing, all-dancing theatrical experience that captures the true spirit of pantomime.

Packed with all the classic ingredients audiences know and love, Mother Goose features a colourful cast of familiar characters – including a hilarious comic, a loveable dame, a sparkling fairy, a brave princess, and a deliciously wicked villain, making this an unmissable Easter treat.

Better still, the cast is made up of stars of stage and screen we all know and love, including Coronation Street, Celebs Go Dating and Ex on the Beach star Helen Flanagan, Casualty’s Amanda Henderson, West End actor and presenter Darren Day, plus Basil Brush.

At the heart of the story is Mother Goose, a poor but kind-hearted dame who runs a humble goose farm alongside her son, Silly Billy played by Ryan Greaves, and their treasured goose, Priscilla. Their fortunes take a magical turn when the Good Fairy – played by Casualty’s Amanda Henderson - rewards Mother Goose’s kindness by casting a spell that allows Priscilla to lay golden eggs.

But all is not as it seems.

Enter the wicked Demon Vanity, played by Darren Day, who wagers that even the purest heart can be corrupted. Through cunning tricks and temptation, he lures Mother Goose into trading her beloved goose for the promise of eternal youth and beauty. As greed and vanity begin to take hold, Mother Goose undergoes a shocking transformation, leaving her family and friends heartbroken.

Determined to put things right, Silly Billy teams up with the spirited Princess Jill (Helen Flanagan) and the wonderfully eccentric King Basil Brush of Pantoland. Together, they embark on a daring quest to rescue Priscilla and remind Mother Goose that true happiness cannot be bought.

Bursting with dazzling costumes, catchy songs, energetic dance routines and plenty of audience participation, Mother Goose is a heartwarming tale of love, loyalty and the importance of staying true to yourself. Expect plenty of boos, cheers, and belly laughs along the way as the story unfolds in true pantomime style.

Perfect for families looking for Easter holiday entertainment, this enchanting production offers a magical escape into Pantoland, where fun and frolics await at every turn.
