Snow White star Emilie du Leslay nominated for prestigious Barbara Windsor Award.

Mansfield Palace Theatre is delighted to announce that pantomime favourite Emilie du Leslay, who captivated audiences as Snow White during the theatre’s magical Christmas pantomime season, has been nominated for the Barbara Windsor Award for Principal Lead at this year’s UK Pantomime Awards, due to take place at Wycombe Swan Theatre next month.

Emilie enchanted audiences throughout the festive run with her radiant charm, outstanding vocals and heartfelt performance in the title role of Snow White. Her portrayal quickly became a highlight of the season, winning over families and pantomime fans alike.

A graduate of Arts Educational Schools London (ArtsEd), Emilie has built an impressive stage career. Her theatre credits include Starlight Express in Germany, The Wind in the Willows in the West End, and the international tour of Les Misérables. She is also no stranger to bringing beloved storybook characters to life, having previously appeared in pantomime as Alice, Wendy, and Princess Jasmine.

This latest nomination recognises Emilie’s exceptional performance as a leading lady in pantomime and celebrates her ability to bring warmth, humour and captivating musical talent to the stage.

Christopher Neil, Cultural Services Manager for Mansfield District Council said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to see Emilie recognised with this nomination. Her performance as Snow White was truly magical and audiences adored her. It’s wonderful to see her talent celebrated in this way.”

The Barbara Windsor Award honours outstanding performances in pantomime, celebrating the tradition, talent and joy that the genre brings to audiences across the UK.

Martin Dodd, Managing Director at UK Productions added:

“Everyone at UK Productions is incredibly proud to see Emilie recognised with this nomination. From the very first rehearsal, it was clear she would bring something truly heartfelt to Snow White, and throughout the run in Mansfield, she created a genuine emotional connection with audiences of all ages. Emilie brings such warmth, sincerity, and beautiful musicality to the role, and she has that rare quality of making every performance feel personal and joyful.

“Pantomime is a real team effort, and the magic audiences experience on stage is only possible thanks to the extraordinary dedication of our creative and production teams and our brilliant venue staff, alongside a wonderful company of performers, musicians and crew. We’re also hugely grateful to the incredible audiences in Mansfield - generations of families who come back year after year and make the pantomime such a joyful and special part of the festive season. Their enthusiasm, laughter and support are what make these shows truly come alive.”

Mansfield Palace Theatre extends its warmest congratulations to Emilie on this well-deserved recognition and wishes her the very best of luck at next month’s ceremony.
