From Weatherfield to Featherfield: Helen Flanagan joins Palace panto line-up

Helen flanagan casting

There’s exciting casting news for pantomime fans as television favourite Helen Flanagan joins the cast of Mother Goose at Mansfield Palace Theatre for its spectacular Easter 2026 celebrations.

Best known for her long-running role in Coronation Street, Helen swaps Weatherfield for ‘Featherfield’ as she takes on the role of Princess Jill in this egg-stra special Easter pantomime, playing on Monday 30 March 2026 with performances at 2pm and 7pm.

Helen joins an already star-studded cast, led by the previously announced Darren Day as the wicked Demon Vanity and everyone’s favourite fox, Basil Brush, as King Basil.

Presented by Anton Benson Productions, the team behind Mansfield’s hugely popular annual Easter pantomime, Mother Goose promises another ‘EGGcellent’ family treat, packed with sensational song and dance numbers, dazzling sets, colourful costumes and plenty of laugh-out-loud comedy.

A magical tale for the whole family

Welcome to Goose Farm, where Mother Goose and her silly son Wally are the proud owners of the magical goose, Priscilla. Life is golden - until the mysterious Demon Vanity swoops into town with an irresistible offer.

Tempted with eternal youth and beauty, Mother Goose must decide whether to sell Priscilla in exchange for everlasting good looks. But at what cost?

Will Mother Goose fall foul of Demon Vanity’s wicked ways?

Can Wally win the heart of the kind-hearted farmhand, Jill?

And will the magical Fairy save the day and return Priscilla to Goose Farm in time for tea?

Audiences can expect all the traditional pantomime ingredients they’ve come to know, love and expect from the Leeming Street venue, including heroes and villains, romance and rivalry, sparkle and spectacle – all served up with a generous helping of Easter fun and frolics!

Tickets are expected to be in high demand following the latest casting announcement. Early booking is strongly advised to secure the best seats for what promises to be a cracking Easter celebration for all ages.
