We are blown away by the reaction to our incredible art installation, Gaia, which will see a replica of the Earth floating above the stage.

Free viewings are available from Tuesday 22 until Sunday 27 April, but we recommend booking your preferred slot to avoid disappointment, as spaces are filling up fast. Additional paid for events include a screening of the Earth documentary (Friday 25 April), baby sensory and yoga sessions (both sold out), and a virtual reality (VR) headset experience from Theatre Electric.

Fancy a singalong to your favourite disco hits? We’ve got you covered on our Leeming Street stage this April with The Last Days of Disco on Wednesday 2 April, featuring ITV The Voice’s So Diva, performing classics from Irene Cara, The Pointer Sisters, Shalamar, Kool and the Gang, Chic and more.

Or would you prefer belting out classic end of the night anthems? Don’t miss out on tickets for Don’t Stop Believin’ on Saturday 5 April, bringing to life the music of Bryan Adams, Blondie, Cher, Bon Jovi, Kate Bush, Starship and Belinda Carlisle... and that’s just for starters!

If traditional music is more your thing, why not join us for a special performance by Newstead Brass Band under the Gaia installation on Saturday 26 April? This unique event blends live brass music with the striking visuals of Gaia, creating an unforgettable fusion of music and art as we journey through space and time to celebrate the world we live in.

You’ll recognise some famous faces springing from screen to stage next month as Menopause the Musical 2 – Cruisin’ through Menopause sails into town on Thursday 3 April. Starring Carli Norris (Doctors, Hollyoaks, EastEnders), Maureen Nolan (The Nolans), and Rebecca Wheatley (Casualty), this hilarious and heartfelt show shares tales of loves and losses, hot flushes, mood swings, memory lapses and weight gain – offering a reassuring and side-splitting look at the “joys” of menopause.

Our Easter panto for 2025 is Pinocchio, with two performances on Sunday 13 April, starring Katie Price, Bobby Davro and children’s TV royalty, Zippy and George! Join Pinocchio on his adventure to Fantasy Island, where he hopes to learn right from wrong and fulfil his dream of becoming a real boy. But will he follow his conscience, or will the wicked Stromboli have other plans?

The giggles continue with The Comedy Store (16+), back by popular demand on Saturday 19 April. As a special treat, this show will take place under the stunning Gaia installation. Keep an eye on our website and social feeds for lineup announcements.

For something a little different, Tease takes to the stage on Friday 4 April – the ultimate burlesque and cabaret show, featuring circus and variety acts set to hit tracks from Burlesque, Chicago and chart-toppers from Cher, Christina Aguilera and more.

If you enjoy gripping true crime, don’t miss The Makings of a Murderer 2: Manhunter on Tuesday 15 April. Join Colin Sutton, former head of the Metropolitan Police murder squad, as he shares chilling stories of how he caught some of the UK’s most notorious criminals.

Families will love our range of Easter entertainment, starting with Ms Rachel UK Tribute on Wednesday 16 April. Inspired by the viral sensation, this interactive live show brings Ms Rachel’s character to life with animation, puppetry, and plenty of audience participation.

Immersion Theatre invite you on a vibrant underwater adventure with The Little Mermaid on Thursday 17 April. Packed with dazzling sets, colourful characters and heaps of audience participation, this brand-new adaptation sees the adventurous Little Mermaid embark on an unforgettable journey as the wonders of the sea burst onto the stage in a magical experience.

Finally, Northern Ballet’s heart-warming new ballet for children, Hansel & Gretel, comes to Mansfield Palace Theatre on Tuesday 29 April. This environmentally themed reimagining of the Brothers Grimm classic sees the siblings take a trip into the forest, unaware of the damage they leave behind. When they get lost, they meet a host of spirited friends who teach them how we can all better care for the planet – and have some fun along the way!
