Mansfield Palace Theatre promise you the Earth next season!

Our April to September programme is now on sale, with shows and events for all ages, tastes and budgets.
Gaia - a breathtaking six-metre replica of planet Earth - will be presented at Mansfield Palace Theatre with FREE viewings from Tuesday 22 until Sunday 27 April. Reserve your spaces early to come and see the stunning sculpture suspended above the stage, plus find out about other activities taking place in and around the installation at www.mansfield.gov.uk/palacetheatre/gaia. Paid for events include a performance by Newstead Brass Band (Saturday 26 April), film screenings, baby sensory, yoga and a virtual reality (VR) headset experience.

We’ve got music tributes aplenty from The Last Days of Disco (Wednesday 2 April) to Don’t Stop Believin’ – End of the Night Anthems (Saturday 5 April). The Cavern Beatles perform all your favourite ‘Fab Four’ hits on Thursday 1 May, followed by T.Rextasy on Thursday 8 May and Arrival – The Hits of Abba on Friday 9 May. From Gold to Rio celebrates the greatest hits of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran on Saturday 10 May, then Gladness present the music of Madness on Friday 16 May. The Roy Orbison Story (Saturday 17 May) and The Simon and Garfunkel Story (Wednesday 21 May) both return by popular demand, plus there’s Sweet Caroline - a tribute to Neil Diamond on Friday 30 May.
Menopause the Musical 2 – Cruising through Menopause stars Carli Norris (Doctors, Hollyoaks, EastEnders), Maureen Nolan (The Nolans), Rebecca Wheatley (Casualty), and West End star Daniele Coombe on Thursday 3 April. Our Easter panto offering for 2025 is Pinocchio with two performances on Sunday 13 April, starring Katie Price, Bobby Davro, plus children’s TV royalty, Zippy and George!
The little ones will love our range of other family shows including Ms Rachel UK tribute (Wednesday 15 April), The Little Mermaid (Thursday 16 April), Hansel and Gretel by Northern Ballet (Tuesday 29 April) and In the Night Garden Live (Wednesday 30 July).
Fancy trying something a little different? Our variety shows will tick that box for you! Tease burlesque and cabaret show comes to the stage on Friday 4 April, Cirque – The Greatest Show Reimagined is on Monday 28 July, Queen of the West End Kerry Ellis comes to town on Wednesday 17 September and you’ll see magic galore at Illusion Impossible on Friday 26 September.
We’ve got some great giggle-fests coming up this season, starting with The Comedy Store (16+) on Saturday 19 April (taking place under Gaia) and returning on Saturday 13 September. P*ssed Up Panto (16+) is back by popular demand on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 May… who drinks? You decide! And why not join us for A Shoddy Detective and the Art of Deception on Tuesday 13 May? It’s a laugh-out-loud slapstick whodunnit featuring four actors, a dozen characters and a whole load of chaos.
We have two matinee offerings to commemorate VE Day 80 in the form of D Day Darlings on Tuesday 6 May and Neil Sands’ Land of Hope and Glory on Wednesday 18 June. Or if talks are your thing, then you might like The Makings of a Murderer 2: Manhunter on Tuesday 15 April, ADHD Unmasked on Thursday 19 June and Dad’s Army Radio Show on Wednesday 4 June.
Our classical programme continues with Opera Cocktail returning on Wednesday 15 May to perform all your favourite opera ‘bangers’ that you didn’t even know you knew, and our friends at Music in the Round present Ensemble 360 on Thursday 25 September.
A Man and His Music pays homage to Frank Sinatra on Friday 6 June, Jive Talkin’ perform the Bee Gees on Wednesday 11 June and Northern Live – Do I Love You returns on Thursday 12 June. Local legends Mercury present The Best of Queen on Friday 13 June. Fans’ favourite Steve Steinman presents a brand-new show crammed full of power ballads with Love Hurts on Friday 20 June, followed by The Bon Jovi Experience on Friday 27 June. July sees tributes to Billy Ocean (Thursday 17) and Whitney Houston in Queen of the Night (Wednesday 23).
September’s tributes kick off with A Sky Full of Stars (Coldplay) on Wednesday 3 September, followed by UK Pink Floyd Experience (Thursday 4), Yourythmics (Friday 5), The Take That Experience (Saturday 6), Sweet and Sour – the ultimate tribute to Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo (Wednesday 10), DS:UK Brothers in ’85 Tour (Thursday 11), The Sound of Springsteen (Friday 12), Voodoo Room present Hendrix, Clapton and Cream (Thursday 18), A Country Night in Nashville (Friday 19)and The Mersey Beatles (Saturday 20).
We also continue to present our Exhibition on Screen series in conjunction with our friends at Mansfield Museum. Join us in the Leeming Lounge for documentaries about art and fashion icons Bosch (Friday 23 May), Audrey Hepburn (Friday 27 June), Munch (Friday 25 July) and Alexander McQueen (Friday 29 August).
And if film is your thing, then our Electric Palace Theatre season will be right up your street!
