Names you know and love
Direct from London’s world-famous jazz club and combining world-class live jazz, narration, rare archive photos, and video footage, Ronnie Scott’s All Stars take to the stage on Wednesday 2 October.
Take a trip down memory lane with Showaddywaddy on Saturday 5 October. Their 50th anniversary show will feature all the greatest hits including Under The Moon of Love, Three Steps to Heaven and Hey Rock and Roll.
Prepare to hear Aled Jones as you’ve never heard him before in his Full Circle show on Wednesday 9 October. He was the boy treble who captivated the world with his angelic voice. Selling over seven million albums, Aled was the original, classical crossover star. His recording of Walking in the Air, from the animated film The Snowman, firmly established him as a household name and he has become an integral part of the nation's festivities. Equally at home on the classical stage, or starring in musical theatre productions in London West End, his credits include lead roles in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.
Beyond the Barricade perform all your favourite West End and Broadway hits on Wednesday 16 October. Enjoy numbers from The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story, The Lion King, Blood Brothers, Miss Saigon, Hamilton and many others, climaxing with a spectacular finale from Les Misérables.
The Comedy Store line up (tbc) promises you a good old giggle with us on Saturday 19 October, as does Kevin Bloody Wilson on Sunday 27 October. 2024 marks 40 years since Kev’s first album was released (which went on to obtain quadruple platinum status) and 20 albums later, this comedy icon’s fan base continues to grow with new generations of fans flocking to experience Kev’s PC free live shows.

The Shape of You celebrates all things Ed Sheeran on Thursday 3 October. From trademark loops to heartfelt singalongs, beatbox raps to soul-stirring acoustic ballads, the show has something for every music lover.
LiveWire is the show for AC/DC fans on Saturday 12 October. They deliver a critically acclaimed high voltage rock ’n’ roll set with not only cannons and a full bank of Marshall amps but a journey that takes fans from one of the best-selling albums of all time Back in Black through to the 2020 release PWR UP, with a healthy dose of the classics from the Bon Scott era.
With a band made up of some of UK’s finest country musicians, Made in Tennessee on Thursday 17 October takes you through the decades of the nation's fastest growing music genre, from Country’s origin in the Southern States of America to modern day Country heard around the world. Featuring classics from Johnny, Dolly and Hank, legends like Garth Brooks and Carrie Underwood plus modern country superstars such as Kacey Musgraves and Chris Stapleton.
Rave On brings you the best 50s and 60s rock ‘n’ roll hits on Wednesday 23 October. Join us for an exhilarating evening of toe-tapping, sing-along iconic classics, vibrant vintage costumes, colourful staging and dancing in the aisles with hits from the likes of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, Connie Francis, Neil Sedaka, Little Richard, Roy Orbison, Lulu, The Beach Boys and many more.
The highly acclaimed show producer and number one recording artist, Steve Steinman, returns with Anything for Love on Saturday 26 October; his brand new production featuring over 25 of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman’s greatest hits. The show includes Steve’s very own number one single Everything They Said Was True written by John Parr and Meat Loaf.
Taylormania comes to town on Wednesday 30 October (very limited availability) for an award-winning extravaganza that plays tribute to one of the leading contemporary recording artists of our time. You Can Go Your Own Way with our Dreams of Fleetwood Mac tribute on Thursday 31 October. All seven professional members play live and unadulterated, dedicated to delivering a show as close to the real thing as possible.
Get your country fix with Luke Combs UK on Friday 1 November (very limited availability). Experience the heart and soul of country music as we pay homage to one of the genre’s biggest stars with a night of incredible songs, authentic Southern vibes, and a whole lot of boot-stomping fun.
Family
The Very Hungry Caterpillar munches its way into town on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 October. The critically acclaimed show features 75 lovable puppets and faithfully adapts four stories by author/illustrator Eric Carle: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Busy Spider and of course, the star of the show – The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
In an enchanting stage adaptation of There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly on Tuesday 22 October, aliens from a distant world have crash-landed on earth and need our help to get home. But there’s a problem. Their rocket runs on stories, not fuel, and only the greatest story in the universe will be enough to save them! With a captivating combination of live action, animation and puppetry, children and adults alike will be mesmerised by this new version of a classic tale.
Abra Cadabra! With a wave of our wand we bring you Harry Panto: The Serpent of Secrets on Tuesday 29 October. Frogwarts is in danger and only spectacular spectacle-wearing hero, Harry Panto, can save the day against Belinda LaWeirdo in this spellbinding tale of good versus evil. Magical illusions, pop songs and things that go bump in the night all form the essential ingredients of this bewitching plot sure to delight youngsters and adults alike.
Dance
Motionhouse present Three on Tuesday 15 October and you can bag tickets for a tenner using code ‘somethingnew’ online or at Box Office. In Knot, two male dancers explore the vulnerabilities and power of male relationships. In Gravity, a sense of isolation underlies the haunting choreography as two performers explore the loneliness of space.
Following an interval, the triple bill concludes with the gravity-defying choreography of Rescue, which sees the full company move together in a symphony of strength, support and tenderness. The dancers lift, throw and catch each other with immense precision. Their extraordinary skill and mutual trust, make Rescue compelling and emotional to watch.
Experience the enchantment of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, The Nutcracker, on Saturday 2 November. Join Clara and her heroic Nutcracker Prince as they encounter wondrous snowflakes, delightful dancing dolls, waltzing flowers, a magnificent Christmas tree and, of course, the magical Sugar Plum Fairy. A hauntingly beautiful musical score intertwines with stunning choreography, creating a spell binding atmosphere of fantasy and illusion.
Support local talent as Masque Productions present the Olivier Award-winning, West End smash hit musical Our House from Tuesday 5 to Saturday 9 November. On the night of his sixteenth birthday, Joe Casey commits a petty crime in a bid to impress the girl of his dreams. As the police turn up, Joe faces a life changing decision: Does he stay and surrender like an honest man, or run and make the escape of a criminal? In a ‘sliding doors’ moment, Joe’s world splits in two, as the story follows the two completely different paths that one moment leads to. We invite you to put on your Baggy Trousers and join the House of Fun in this spectacular, hilarious and uplifting musical about family, love, and the power of our choices.
Christmas
Attention soon turns to the festive season on Thursday 14 November with Neil Sands’ Christmas Memories; our annual nostalgic journey back to Christmases past with carols, singalongs and beautiful scenery and costumes to get you in the festive spirit.
Wishing for the best family pantomime? Your wish is our command with Aladdin which runs from Saturday 23 November to Tuesday 31 December! Mansfield’s favourite funny man - Adam Moss - is returning alongside James Mackenzie, best known for CBBC show Raven, who takes the role of ‘baddie’ Abanazar.
Christopher Nibble and friends return to Mansfield Museum from Tuesday 17 to Sunday 22 December with Christopher’s Christmas. Its Christmas Eve and Christopher Nibble and his family are putting the finishing touches to his tree when their festive fun is interrupted by a shocking radio announcement. Father Christmas is lost! His Santa Nav has broken and he can’t find Dandeville! Does Christopher have the seasonal spirit to save the day?
Get involved
As if all of this wasn’t enough, how would you like to get involved behind the scenes and help to run our events? We’re on the lookout for new volunteers to join our team, with duties ranging from greeting guests on arrival, helping direct them to their seats and keeping an eye on the audience (and what’s on the stage!) during the show.
