We are over the moon to announce that 31,870 people – to be precise - saw our 2023 pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, at Mansfield Palace Theatre.

A whopping 96% of available tickets were sold and we want to say a huge personal thank you to each and every one of you that came along to cheer the goodies, boo the baddies and ultimately, support us in keeping your local theatre alive with fantastic entertainment.

Can you believe that over 10% of tickets to next year’s pantomime, Aladdin, are already sold? Of course you can, we love a panto here in Mansfield. Oh and did we mention that Adam Moss will be back again by ‘popular demand’? He’s basically just part of the furniture now.

We received some amazing feedback from the show and it was clear to see that the cast and crew loved it just as much as our audiences did with comments like these:

Michelle Garner via Facebook:

“Amazing show. Congratulations to you all. We come every Christmas Eve and are already booked for next year. You have started our festive celebrations every year for the last 40 years with our children and now Grandchildren. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year.”

Kate Clapperton via Instagram:

“What a brilliant show this year. So good to switch off from the world and have a laugh.”

Sarah Gilbody via X (Twitter):

“Absolutely loved the panto @MansfieldPalace theatre this evening - the music and costumes were stunning. @adammosscomedy you made our Christmas as usual - you filled the theatre with laughter… such a gift! Can’t wait for Aladdin next year!

Anonymous via How Was it For You? survey:

"Although the show was funny and thrilling for the children, the hidden adult content was enough to keep us adults entertained, too. All the children and adults alike enjoyed being sprayed with water and getting up to dance, too. It was an amazing show put on by outstanding members of the cast, not forgetting the little cast members who played their parts with precision, not missing a beat, and remembering all their steps. Well done to every one of them, and thank you for an incredible start to our Christmas."

Nic Gibney aka Polly la Plonk joined in the praise, describing the Leeming Street venue’s technical team as “one of the nicest crews in the country” and we couldn’t agree more!

We are so proud that overall, customers filling in our post-event survey rated the show 4.7 out of a possible 5 stars with 95% saying they would recommend the theatre to their family and friends for their next trip or treat.

Thank you again for your ongoing support; we can’t wait to welcome you back when we reopen our doors in 2024.
