We’re thrilled to announce the October 2023 to March 2024 line-up at Mansfield Palace Theatre.

We’re thrilled to announce the October 2023 to March 2024 line-up at Mansfield Palace Theatre, featuring over 50 shows that are sure to interest and excite all ages. Drag queens, ghosts and rock legends all feature, not to mention the music of Roy Orbison, George Michael, Take That and so many more.

Famous faces take to Mansfield’s stage this season with Drag Race UK’s Baga Chipz sashaying onto the stage (24 October), rock legend Francis Rossi of Status Quo fame bringing us Tunes and Chat (25 October), and comedian Geoff Norcott performing his Basic Bloke stand-up show (14 February).

Mansfield loves nothing more than a comedy or drama with a bit of innuendo thrown in for good measure – so let’s give the people what they want! Mum’s the Word comes to town on Sunday 8 October starring Eastenders’ Cheryl Fergison; it’s the mother of all shows, featuring the stuff nobody tells you about parenthood… until it’s too late!

Local families are the heart and soul of what we do here. This Autumn/Winter we’ve got something to get the kids off their screens for some quality family time. We’ve got a great Halloween lined up with film screenings of Coco (24 October) and Nightmare Before Christmas (25 October), plus I Spy with my Little Eye (23 October) and a family Spooktacular (27 October).

Popular children’s tales such as The Tin Man (2 November) and Peace at Last by Jill Murphy (5 and 6 November) leap from page to stage, as well as Tom Fletcher’s brilliant new venture, There’s a Monster in Your Show, which comes to town on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 October.

Oh What a Lovely War (11 October) is a visually stunning and deeply moving musical; a no-holds-barred assault on the military incompetence and inconceivable disregard for human life WWI has come to represent. Brimming with timeless songs and razor-sharp satire, see a heart-breaking snapshot of life for those caught in the crossfire of conflict.

Fans of the musicals will hear all of their favourite show tunes including big Les Mis finales with Dreamcoat Stars (14 October) and Beyond the Barricade (17 October).

Cult TV shows Most Haunted (13 October) and Stranger Sings (16 and 17 March) are brought to life on stage this season for those who dare attend, or if you’d like something equally entertaining but a little less scary, we have Tap Factory joining us as part of their tenth anniversary tour (22 February) and the Ukrainian National Opera will perform the timeless opera, Madama Butterfly, on 2 March.

Our treasured local amateurs return to us with Cinderella from Masque Productions (7 to 11 November) and Kinky Boots from Mansfield Operatic Society (6 to 10 March), along with thousands of young dancers who grace our stage throughout the year. New Youth Theatre present their version of Into the Woods (13 and 14 November); please support our local talent if you can.

If that still isn’t enough choice for you, then what about three classic episodes of Hancock’s Half Hour (1 October), a mash up of classical and dance music with Ibiza Nights (13 October) or a giggle at The Comedy Store (4 November and 10 February)? We’ve also got music tributes ranging from country to rock and pop to swing, so no matter your preferred genre, we’ve got your back.

Of course we haven’t forgotten about the festive season – oh no we haven’t! With treats from Neil Sands in his Christmas Memories matinee show (31 October) and children’s TV royalty Dani Harmer (CBBC’s Tracey Beaker) starring alongside comedian Adam Moss in our pantomime, Beauty and the Beast from 25 November to 31 December. You can also catch Sleeping Beauty performed by Westfield Folkhouse Pantomime Group (13 to 21 January) and The Adventures of Robin Hood by Mansfield Hospitals Theatre Troupe (27 January to 3 February).

We hope that you enjoy this jam-packed season of limitless entertainment, there’s something for everyone! You can book show tickets online 24/7 HERE, call Box Office on 01623 463133 or follow us on social media @mansfieldpalace for all the latest news and updates.
