View Through a Window – Home Education Workshop for ages 7 to 16

Step back into Mansfield's past with this hands-on workshop led by sculptor Michelle Reader. Inspired by the Buxton watercolours and architectural models at Mansfield Museum, you'll explore the town's 19th-century streetscapes and choose a window to investigate. Who lived or worked there? What stories happened inside those walls? Using recycled materials, create a miniature scene; a view through a window into the imagined interiors of these historic buildings. This workshop blends local history with creative storytelling, bringing the model buildings to life through your own imagination.
