Taking to the stage on Friday 19 June will be four top-class comedians, bringing together a night of sharp observations, hilarious storytelling, quick-fire one-liners and belly laughs guaranteed to leave audiences grinning all the way home.
First up is Peter Brush, a highly distinctive performer whose awkward charm and brilliantly crafted jokes have earned him a reputation as one of the most original acts on the UK comedy circuit.
A former finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award and winner of Harrogate Comedian of the Year, Brush has performed throughout the UK and internationally. His writing credits include BBC Radio 4 favourites The News Quiz, The Show What You Wrote and Newsjack, while his tour support appearances include comedy heavyweights Alexei Sayle, Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Arthur Smith, Paul Sinha and Jonathan Pie.
Joining him is the acclaimed Garrett Millerick, the stand-up comedian, writer and director whose career continues to go from strength to strength. Garrett recently appeared on the hit US late-night show Conan and co-hosts the popular podcast Laughable alongside Jayde Adams and Red Richardson.
His Edinburgh Fringe hit Sunflower became one of the festival's most talked-about shows before transferring to London's Soho Theatre, while follow-up show Smile sold out runs and added extra dates due to popular demand. Praised by critics and audiences alike, Garrett is currently developing a new sitcom project produced by Hat Trick Productions and starring Jack Dee and Meera Syal.
Also appearing is Pierre Hollins, a comedy circuit favourite who has headlined clubs across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. As well as performing stand-up, Pierre is an accomplished writer whose first novel, The Karma Farmers, was published last year.
A regular contributor to radio and television, Pierre created the long-running cartoon strip Guru for Fortean Times. Described as "always enjoyable, often inspired", his warm, intelligent and effortlessly funny style has made him a firm audience favourite wherever he performs.
Completing the bill is actor, author and comedian Eddy Brimson, whose route into comedy is every bit as entertaining as his act. A former football hooligan turned bestselling writer and performer, Eddy has built a loyal following through his hugely successful books, television appearances and stand-up comedy.
His acting credits include Absolutely Fabulous, The Thin Blue Line, Casualty, The Bill and EastEnders, while his seven bestselling books have sold more than 160,000 copies. Packed with colourful anecdotes and larger-than-life characters, his comedy has delighted audiences across the country, with The Guardian simply noting: "The crowd loved him."
With four outstanding acts sharing one stage, this latest Comedy Store event promises enough punchlines to keep audiences laughing long after the final curtain falls.
