Mansfield Museum's Christmas Tree Festival
Mansfield Museum’s entrance arcade will be turned into an avenue of themed Christmas trees once again this year, each one unique and created by members of our local community.
We’d love businesses, schools, play groups, church groups, care homes, Cubs/Brownies, and groups of creative friends to be among those to get involved.
Ideas for the design of trees include on the theme of recycling so they could be made from books or even knitted. Trees will remain in place throughout December. Small prizes will be awarded for the most inventive and creative.
Trees can be up to 5.5ft tall and 2ft at its broadest. Lights must be battery powered, and they must not contain anything fragile, edible, unsafe or flammable.
Trees must be delivered to the museum between Wednesday 24 to Saturday 27 November, 10am and 2pm.
The museum will do its best to look after trees but accepts no responsibility for any damage.
Trees must be taken down and collected between Tuesday 4 and Friday 7 January.
