View the road closure map

Full road closure (green)

If your house or business is in the area marked in green on the map (from the junction of Rosemary Street to Pheasant Hill) then the following restrictions will be in place:

  • Full road closure from 4.45am to 7pm from Rosemary Street to Pheasant Hill meaning no vehicle access except for residents in Lime Stone Rise who will be able to leave and enter their street via the Registry Office car park and head south towards town until around 2.30pm and after 4pm when the race has passed through the finish line.
  • Residents and businesses in Jennison Street, Charles Street and Pheasant Hill will be able to access their properties from Chesterfield Road South (via the direction of the Rufford Pub only) until around 2.30pm and then after 4pm. No vehicle access between these times.
  • Parking will be made available in the Civic Centre car park for anyone who lives in Jennison Street, Charles Street, West Hill and Chesterfield Road South. Please contact us to arrange a permit to park or special access by email at events@mansfield.gov.uk.
  • Please note residents in Lime Tree Rise will be able to leave and enter their street via the Registry Office car park until 2pm and after 3.30pm when the race has passed through the finish line.
  • The road will re-open in both directions after 7pm.

Restricted access (orange)

If your house or business is located in the area marked orange on the map (from Pheasant Hill to the junction at the Rufford Pub) then the following restrictions will be in place:

  • Chesterfield Road South will only be accessible from the north (the Rufford Pub end) from 4.45am to 7pm.
  • Chesterfield Road South will be closed in both directions from around 2.30pm to 4pm to allow the race to pass safely. This mean no vehicle access to your property between these times. Parking will be made available in the Civic Centre car park for anyone who needs it during this time. Please contact us to arrange a permit to park by email at events@mansfield.gov.uk.
  • Turning points will be installed along the northern section of the route to allow vehicles to exit via the Rufford Pub junction.
  • The road will re-open in both directions after 7pm.

Temporary road closure (blue)

If your house or business is located in the area marked blue on the map (from the junction of Rosemary Street to Leeming Street) then the following restrictions will be in place:

  • Temporary road closure from around 2.30pm to allow the race to come through the town safely. This means no vehicle access to properties at that time for up to approximately 30 minutes.
  • Entry to and egress from Tesco will be maintained for as long as possible in both directions.
  • Customers will be able to exit and turn right only until around 2.30pm. The car park will then be closed for approximately 30 minutes before it reopens as soon possible after the race passes to allow customers to exit and enter.

Rolling road closure

A rolling road closure will be in place along the entire route from Warsop to the Civic Centre in Mansfield from 2pm, but as soon as the race has passed then roads will reopen. Please anticipate short delays on the day.

Entry to and egress from Tesco will be maintained for as long as possible in both directions. A right-hand turn only from the exit from around 2pm when the final convoy vehicle reaches us. Exiting Tesco will not be permitted from around 2.45pm for approximately 30 minutes. A right turn only will be reinstated as soon as the peloton passes the finish line, and the road will be reopened in full as soon as possible, which we anticipate will be around 4.30pm.

Please note in that emergency vehicles are able to access the closed areas in a blue light situation.

All properties in the area will receive information from the Tour of Britain directly. Road closure notices will be displayed and alternative routes and diversions will be managed by an appointed traffic management company.

We apologise for any inconvenience and would like to assure you that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
