Tidy Together

Weekdays from Monday 6 June to Friday 1 July

The Tidy Together campaign is taking place in support of Keep Britain Tidy's Great British Spring Clean, and is part of our commitment to build community pride and help make Mansfield district cleaner and greener and a place where people are proud to live, work and visit.

Free bulky waste collections

Bookings for this service is now closed.

Discounted electrical goods collections

Bookings for this service is now closed.

Residents are also being encouraged to "upcycle" as part of Tidy Together by selling or donating furniture that is in good condition to charity. The British Heart Foundation (opens in new window) and The Furniture Project (opens in new window) are among those that offer free collections for such items.

People buying new electrical goods are being asked to consider using a take back scheme where their old appliance is collected as the new one is delivered.

Community litter picks

Residents of Mansfield are being encouraged to join in community efforts to make the district even cleaner and greener during June.

A limited amount of equipment, including litter pickers and bags, are available for anyone who wants to hold their own litter picking event. To borrow equipment and arrange for the collection of bagged rubbish, please email cleansingadmin@mansfield.gov.uk or call 01623 463463.

A number of parks Friends Groups will be among those picking up litter in the council's parks, nature reserves and open spaces.

District clean up

As well as their usual cleaning and maintenance, our Street Cleansing team will also be carrying out intensive cleans in specific areas of the district which need a bit of TLC, including:

  • Garibaldi shops and surrounding estate
  • Market Warsop (Fenwick Street, Vickers Street, Bainbridge Road and Ridgeway Lane areas)
  • Pleasley (main road areas)
  • Ravensdale (various areas).
