Home Education Workshop: Human Evolution Journey

home education workshop

Join us for a fun and interactive workshop exploring the incredible story of how humans evolved!

In this hands-on session, home-educated students will travel through millions of years, learning how early primates became modern humans. We’ll explore important steps in our evolution, like tool-making, language, and culture, along with the genetic changes that make us unique.

Students will learn about:

  • Fossils and what they reveal about our ancestors.
  • How natural selection shaped human traits.
  • Key evolutionary changes like walking on two legs, growing bigger brains, and social behaviours.
  • How humans adapted to different environments around the world.

This workshop is specifically designed for home-educated Key Stage 2 children. Younger siblings are welcome, but please note the content may not be suitable for their age. The session costs £7.50 per child, and children must be accompanied by an adult (who can attend for free). It's a perfect opportunity for homeschool families to expand their knowledge of biology and anthropology.
