Food banks

Some Mansfield food banks are offering collections only at this time – the most up to date list is available on the Mansfield Street Support website (opens in new window). Donations to food banks is decreasing due to the current food purchasing levels. If you can help and donate, please continue to do so.

There is a local food share scheme in place for fresh and dried products. They rely on personal donations and volunteers are still dropping off parcels, shopping and being neighbourly. For more information, go to the Food Share Rainworth, Blidworth and surrounding areas Facebook group (opens in new window) or call 07305 782596.

To help combat the limitations on food supplies locally, restaurants, bars and cafes are encouraged to prepare take away meals and frozen meals that can the purchased by the public and stored. If you are doing this please post your initiatives to our Facebook page (opens in new window) so we can share your messages.

Local food businesses are encouraged to support food banks if they have surplus – please do this via the Mansfield CVS (opens in new window) who can put you in touch with the voluntary groups who need your help the most.
